made 2 video edits, recorded 8 songs at the Muku'u Market, and now Im finally done
What is really amazing is that my stupid Bachelors degree is actually getting me noticed to do this kind
of work. Ive been able to trade 3 days of work here at Polestar to help them make music. And in the process Ive been a part of some eye opening moments where Ive played harmonium on tracks, worked with 7 over 4 rhythm, been exposed to Kirtan songs, (of which Ive spend hours on end editing =) and Im
just blown away with the contacts Ive met.
I came here to set my intention for my trip to Hawai'i, dive deep into Raja pranayama yoga, get up early, work all day, go to bed early and satisfied and along the way Ive some how met all the right people
who have eagerly wanted to share their knowledge on the subjects that I came here to more know about.
Complex poly rhythm, Water catchment management, Proper cooking or lack of, Solar grids, Kirtan, Hatha and Raja Yoga, Proper Meditation. These are the things I wanted to know more about for the past year. Here I am after 3 weeks of WOW seeing how Ive gotten to learn more about these things first hand from really sincere and cool people who are certainly my friends. Thank you POLESTAR!
I will miss your Bananas.
Here are the 5 songs I just got done Mixing...FYI all I had to work with was 1 USB Blueball Podcast Mic, broken regular sony headphones, and if I got lucky I could check my mix on the stereo until someone mentioned it was getting annoying =) For what I was working with, this is really something.
I'd equate it to painting a 10 foot wall mural with a pencil in 2 days....Did i mention no mic stand
(If your reading this then I didnt post the songs yet...)
Apparently im making some tough decisions
Michael on the Harmonium
A little Video Clip
Did i mention no mic stand...oh yep I did
Used a music stand to get the mic up there for vocals =)
My ghetto mixing desk i put together behind the tv in the living room haha, it was actually rad to be able to set up anything at all. Candles and incense are a must for mix downs
